Most rational people would not want to work at an employer that punishes people for thought crimes.

Nah I think most people wouldn't want to work with a bigot. Let alone one who broadcasts their factually and morally wrong views.

Science is amoral, and he's not factually wrong.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3149680/ …

He did not say that women are dumb. He said that measured bio difference between the average man and woman helps explain the gender gap.
-
He claimed certain sexual dynamics are "culturally universal" which right there underscores how little he knows or is qualified to discuss.
-
Is that really untrue?
-
Yes, it is.

"Neuroticism" is an unfortunately named personality trait, but there's a scientific consensus about gender diffs. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2031866/ …pic.twitter.com/EOCiP3vY2a

In post-retirement age people, gee, I wonder what living 65 years under permanent sexism does...
-
Read the sentence after that. The findings in the elderly agreed with other findings "across the lifespan."
-
In other words, women score higher in neuroticism (& agreeableness) throughout their lives.
-
Does the study conclude that these traits are biological, and not a result of dealing with constant marginalization and dismissal (sexism)?
-
How would the results of this US study compare to one done in a country with higher (or lower) gender equality?
-
Excellent question. Surprisingly, male/female personality differences are *bigger* in more egalitarian countries.http://slatestarcodex.com/2017/08/07/contra-grant-on-exaggerated-differences/ …
