As a visible trans person, sexism against me cannot exist without transphobia, b/c assaults on my womanhood implicitly address my transition https://twitter.com/aliciafiasco_/status/894552153162993664 …

Transphobia can exist in a vacuum from sexism, of course. But sexism against visible trans women can't exist apart from transphobia.
-
Trans women are often denied our womanhood, then only granted it when it allows us to be grouped with the targets of a sexist act.
-
them: "you're not a woman you have xy chromosomes" also them: "lol your github is garbage just like typical women"
-
The structural fallacies in these arguments is irrelevant. What matters is my womanhood is only granted when it can be used as a pain point.
-
So when I talk about sexism against women and enbies, this doesn't exclude transphobia. It addresses a specific form of it.
