Book burning is incorrectly thrown out as a form of censorship and a hallmark of fascism by many people.
If you asked me to name unique marks of 20th C fascism, it wouldn't make the list.

Besides the term Hallmark implies a distinctive quality... while book burning is present in pretty much all societies.

So I think it would be fair to suggest that Book Burning is a Hallmark of fascist-like regimes (in the 20th C). (As a general rule).

ehhh, not a unique one, unless you add nuance. Fascism's censorship is more about elimination of the "weak" minority more than thought ctrl.
