Technical talks are so much easier than "soft" talks. I didn't bother to rehearse this one at all. Yet it gets into very deep math.

This is so real - when I was talking at technical confs regularly it was so easy. The real real is the quality of them on average is lower.

I imagine trying to do talks on topics I care about today and I just give up because it's so much work & I don't think I'd be good enough.
