Every once in a while I read a news article about AI, and I can just tell the author knows they don’t understand what they’re writing about.

Analogies can be helpful, but we really should be better at remembering they’re analogies and not underlying truths.

Like how back in the day, we began to understand fluids. Thinkers extended those metaphors to conclude the body was full of humours.

And obviously, these humours caused sickness. I can't help but think we're doing the same thing with AI now.
