Intent doesn't matter. It's a harmful caricature that damages trans people. Doesn't matter if you didn't mean to harm us, it harms us.

Every time a cis person laughs at that caricature it shows that trans people aren't safe around them period.

Shifting the blame to people who did you or any transfolk no harm? A thoughtcrime induced by a charicature results in lack of safety?

Yeah, it does. I see you laugh at a man in a dress, you think it's safe for me to come out to you?

I'm gay. I absolutely wouldn't mind one bit if Putin/theChechen leader were shown the gayest of gay possible. I know it's not about my kind.

Congrats, you personally don't care about an unrelated issue on a different intersectional axis. Keep ignoring actual trans people thom

My point 1) was not to say gay people are okay to abuse, and 2) was not to turn the issue away from trans* issues.

My point, as a trans woman with lived experience as a trans woman is that the image is harmful to trans women which I know as a trans woman.

Why I brought up the gay example was exactly that I do have experience and wouldn't mind if they mocked an anti-gay person with "gay looks"

Again, congrats on bringing up a personal preference on a non-isomorphic issue.
