My point was that it's the same thing. My kind is also marginalised, I could take it as a harmful offence, but I don't see it as one.
My point 1) was not to say gay people are okay to abuse, and 2) was not to turn the issue away from trans* issues.
My point, as a trans woman with lived experience as a trans woman is that the image is harmful to trans women which I know as a trans woman.
And here you are with no experience on any of those things saying, "nah that can't be right"
Why I brought up the gay example was exactly that I do have experience and wouldn't mind if they mocked an anti-gay person with "gay looks"
