on December 31. Yesterday, the DOJ basically told the court "we're not defending this rule, please send it back to get changed."

So without federal support, the protections aren't worth the paper they're printed on. So any doctor could refuse to treat me, for anything.

Without risk of federal penalty and without DOJ support, the only remaining recourse is private lawsuits, which are $$$ and likely to fail.
