What makes you think the "goal" in fleeing is to secure rights? That person decided that self-preservation was important. Their prerogative.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with self preservation. But fleeing is incompatible with the fight for rights, which was my statement.

A number of my family members were given the chance to flee and didn't. That didn't lead to a fight for rights. That led to them in ovens.
