We do not have the numbers to scale anything close to the civil rights movement. We rely on cis people to stand for us and they failed.

Cis people failed trans people when it was easy and now we have no faith they will show up when it is hard.

White ppl have failed POC for 100+ yrs after the 13th amendment. Still are. We are dying too. I'm prisons, by police, institutional racism.

That is not my intent. My intent is to say that civil rights struggles are happening for all of us. But it won't get fixed by absence.

Are you prepared to give up living in Austin to go fight for the cause in a less liberal TX town? If not, stop shaming people for self care.

It also means that instead of leaving the country, they could move to more lib places in the US, and still fight/vote/protect.
