The term "social justice warrior" has always been interesting. "Warrior" was not our framing, it was the framing of wannabe soldiers.

I get called an SJW a lot, but "warrior" is the last thing I am. I do computers and want my peers to not die under Trump. That's it.
-
At least on Twitter, "SJW" often means one who didn't vote for &/or stayed silent abt Hillary b/c she & Trump were "same"
-
Always risky to perpetuate steroetypes,, but I suppose it's true that one either sides with
@SusanSarandon or one doesn't. -
And "warrior" application (as far as relevance) seems an offshoot of "Bernie or Bust" mentality, which, @ the end, was 4 sure a battle cry.
-
The term existed before Bernie was a factor
-
of course it did, which is why I specifically use the term "application"
-
geez I even said "as far as relevance" to make sure I was extra clear.
-
You were very clear, but you were also very wrong. The pejorative use of the term is not Bernie related at all in the way you claim.

it's also a way to try to make us look like "feminazi" stereotype angry women. I own it, tho. We're fighting for/defending justice.

I always thought it was meant to condescend SJ activists, by implying they are self-righteous and take their cause too seriously
