I know this doesn't make it any better, but it is only in public schools and state owned buildings.

NC showed us that it extends beyond that. And in any case, that often includes airports, rest stops, etc.

Airports came up once in Senate's hearing. I agree, it wasn't very clear. All depends on if it's being leased out or not.

DFW at least, which would be a layover for me regularly, is government-owned. I'd have to plan flights to avoid it.

Not sure how the division between state vs city owned works.

Subchapter C indicates the law applies to buildings owned by "political subdivisions", which includes cities, etc.
