Be aware, encrypting your data is not a good idea. CBP will use it as an excuse to seize the device.

Not encrypting is out of the question, as I work in the finance industry. The only solution is to not bring devices.

I never travel internationally with my personal device. I leave it and bring one of many secondary devices.

And it is wiped before I head home.. And wiped again when I get home.. Same with laptops. Traveling in China taught me that
