Yes. While I think class is a big issue, racism is the core. Redistricting rarely cuts out large white blocks, for example.

Class issues are a product of capitalism, but the capitalist system in our country has long been built on race.

Class mobility is way easier for a white person than a POC. My wife and I changed classes in a way I rarely see among POC.

I don't disagree that we're in a class war. But that it's racism that keeps it going.

thanks for your perspective. I agree. Perhaps I feel a class conflict is 'winnable' somehow and naturally gravitate to it.

Not sure racism explains *all* of it. Perceived scarcity, existential anxiety are weaponized to serve the greed at the top.

People with plenty aren't susceptible to scapegoating the Other. That's my take, at least.
