Did they actually test the EM drive in space and it worked, or is this another "we found it interesting" report?

they tested in in an extremely tightly controlled environment and found it worked. Space tests will be a ways off.

So it still isn't proven. (I used to debunk these as part of my engineering job at aerospace co.All were flawed measurement)

The latest test has noise thresholds very very very very low. I don't have the article in front of me, but it's compelling.

If it's the one I read, it is clear they are picking up a tiny effect. Have they done the basic string test though?

What I got from the article was that they weren't experienced people in this field, but new to the "magic power" field.

(Hang the device from a string (or float it on water) to eliminate the tiny torques that react against precision balances.)
