Another update: Chief of Staff and Sci/Tech advisor positions are vacant. So cross those off, too.
I believe only the political appointed ambos were fired, the career ones stay (e.g. Mary Y in Ukraine).
Literally everyone whose title is "Ambassador to ___" was told prior to inauguration to be gone by 1/20 noontime.
just a note that political appointee ambassadors were asked to resign. Career Foreign Service Ambassadors were not.
The political appointees. There are career diplomats who are still in place in embassies. At least I hope there are.
