Maybe I should seek payment for what I do because it has value... and also it will give me reason to make it more important and do it more.

I don't have the chops to do freelance writing for a living, but the unusual breadth of my career has given me stories that need be told.

On Saturdays I'm a secretary; that's when I indulge in filing and updating the rolodex. But it wouldn't make a full life.
