.@hootbot and I had the great fortune to see Granny on our honeymoon, and I saw her again last summer at @CascadiaJS.

Granny would take in male orcas from other pods--males are terrible at caring for themselves--and provide care to hook them up with her fam.

I was planning a tattoo with Granny on it for my next trip to Seattle. These animals, her pod especially, are important to me.

When we saw Granny on our honeymoon, I was still presenting male-ish. We learned that females will share fish with males to accept them.
-
After that, as an "I love you," I would ask
@hootbot if she would share her fishes with me. And she'd always say yes. -
Since transition, though, she tells me I'm fully equipped now of getting my own fishes.

Don't worry, probably just got scooped up by a Klingon Bird of Prey.
