Can I talk about Teen Vogue a sec or am I late to the party. idc. Short thread.

But hang on a sec. Do any of you all realize how much skill and experience it takes to do half this stuff?
-
I'm especially amazed by women in tech, who have to self-learn high-tech stuff while also being held to a higher standard of appearance.
-
As a matter of survival, I had to learn stuff in a span of months. How to put together outfits, hair, etc. Dudes, you have NO EFFING IDEA.
-
I taught myself measure theory and I'd rather do that again twice than try to figure out how to braid my own hair, okay. It was easier.
-
So Teen Vogue mixing these stories is just a reflection of reality. You have to be an expert on both necklines and javascript to compete.
-
Maybe instead we should criticize IEEE Explore for not running more stories on the best oxfords to replace those worn out sneakers.
-
I have had several convos that are basically "this is a painful multi-year lesson as a teenage girl. Here are cliff notes."
-
I seriously feel like by the time a woman is 20 years old she already has PhD level in experience in 4 fields men aren't aware of.

Turns out teen girls can hold more than one thing in their brain at a time.
