Actually, if you're US based and have this equipment, I'm interested, too.

It's quite easy: on a clear night, set up a camera on a steady tripod, point it toward the equator, and set the exposure to about 5 mins.

I've been meaning to build a barndoor tracker; would that kind of exposure be good for your purposes? OTOH, I'm in Dublin :)
