I concluded that talk with a call to "Do No Harm." The business manager asked me what that meant. What do you mean "what does that mean??"

I mean ffs, if you're a business manager at a company that develops medical devices you should probably know this one by heart.
-
This was the emotionally-abusive manager who took it on himself to re-assign my role in the company. Who took credit for my work.
-
And when I complained, he told me that I needed to "be strong." I still sometimes blame myself for not recognizing his abusiveness sooner.
-
Anyhow, that's the basis for this talk, about how that mentality normalizes oppression and harm. It's even more relevant post-election.
-
I hear a lot of well-meaning exaltations: "just be strong and we'll get through this." I will not be strong to survive this autocracy.
-
I will be strong to see it burned down.
