Memories of RPI today stirred up memories of my many unpleasant run ins with the police during those years.
Huge car crash happens right in front of us. Cop tells me to go, so I go.

Troy, NY. Maybe March 2003? Cop pulls me over for suspicion of DUI, even though I'm stone sober. He taps on my driver's window with his gun.
-
November 2001, Groton, CT. I take a wrong turn trying to enter the Naval Base very early in the morning. I'm greeted by 4 US Marines' M-16s.
-
July 1997. Willimantic, CT. I'm unlawfully detained by a police officer and interrogated in isolation for >3 hours. *For riding my bike.*
-
Two times unlawfully detained. Three times weapons drawn on me. For doing *nothing wrong*. My one charge got expunged.

So forgive me if I, someone who can't legally piss in two states, have been a little irrationally edgy with LEOs suggest poll watching.
-
The cops in Upstate NY were notoriously corrupt, eventually a decades long FBI investigation happened and a bunch got fired/arrested.
-
But now, win or lose, Trump has the police's support and whatever happens next month, I'm scared shitless.
-
A campaign run without a shred of dignity or grace sure as shit isn't going to find any in defeat.
