If you're building a safety-critical product without local copies of the libraries you pull into your product, yikes!

External dependencies should always be reviewed before they make it into the live build, for breaking changes and such.

Without that, you might introduce a change that doesn't break the build, but introduces a problem because assumptions etc.

Basically, for safety-critical applications, you CAN NOT pull dependencies off of the Internet sight unseen
