I have amblyopia so I bought an eye patch like 19 years after I was supposed to have been using one and man this is so weird.

But legit, you can get solid improvement by playing 3D games while patched. Racing or FPS works best, farther from screen=good

I read one sort-of study report that specifically stated that the game they used *forced* the player to use both eyes

It can, but it can persist. Vision therapy research in adults is weak, for reasons. My phone dying, but we can chat later.
