ISO 9001 is about process, not implementation. It's a horizontal standard.
In medical device space, you can comply with ISO 13485, (which mostly tracks 9001) but still fail IEC 60601/62304. Diff. goals.
Oh, I get that it's not a security standard. I am referring to it being seen as something that instills trust, confidence.
Yet these guys just dropped ransomware in the inbox of one of their clients, which also happens to be one of ours.
Basically, it's a rant about certifications being useless if it's not part of a broader compliance effort, including opsec 
I have yet to see any ISO certification process that has that proper, broader base within a company
