has xor ever been more useful than exponentiation?

@EmilyGorcenski i believe you but i dont want to -
@9999yrs It's OK I've been writing numerical mathematics for 15 years and I still use ^ for exponentiation like, at least twice a month.
-
@EmilyGorcenski okay wait xor returns a value other than 1 or 0 sometimes? gimme a sec i gotta google this -
@9999yrs hint: consider it bitwise.
-
@EmilyGorcenski i never thought about it. other than swapping values (???) what’s it good for? -
@9999yrs One example: parsing a log. Anything that uses bitwise flags it can be useful. I use it when parsing game logs, for instance.
