@emilygorcenski I do agree that "assume good faith" is a poor assumption some of the time. Do you have a better solution?

@bortels If "rules lawyering among trolls" is your predominant concern, then I cannot possibly communicate the necessity of a CoC. -
@emilygorcenski No. My concern is for my daughters to grow up in a society where they can prosper, which I think includes civil discourse. -
@bortels Rules lawyering is not un-civil discourse. (In real life, we have this, and people who specialize in it are called lawyers)... 1/x

@EmilyGorcenski Agreed but it also says, "... their language and actions are free of personal attacks and disparaging personal remarks." -
@linuxhiker Boy, if only there was some sort of, I don't know, enforcement clause that divested the abused of having to assume goodwill
