Huh. This seems like a plausible-sounding theory on how the missing plane might have evaded radar, right? http://keithledgerwood.tumblr.com/post/79838944823/did-malaysian-airlines-370-disappear-using-sia68-sq68 …
@bruce_arthur It would be exceptionally difficult to time that intercept, esp. given that it departed 15 mins late that day.

@Arkamis64 seems logical. but not impossible, right? wake turbulence seems more of a problem.
-
@bruce_arthur Wake turbulence not that much of a problem, don't need to get that close to avoid radar detection. -
@Arkamis64 how close would you need to be?
-
@bruce_arthur Depends on the radar. Maybe as far as a couple miles. Plus, can add a few hundred feet of altitude and totally avoid wake -
@Arkamis64 Hmmm. Thanks. So it'd be hard, but not impossible, right?
-
@bruce_arthur Not impossible, but *very* hard. Think of how much work goes into flyover at a football game. Now try to do that on the sly. -
@Arkamis64 Very interesting.
-
@bruce_arthur Now, it might be possible to do it visually... route is well known, could just aim towards nearest lights you see - 2 more replies
