First, the NSA almost certainly vacuums up all public social media data. So it’s probably being ingested but never looked at by a human unless you start fedposting or commenting on hot political topics.

Sixth, if you are being investigated for a crime, law enforcement can try to obtain a warrant for social media records. Even if you are never charged, there is very little trust that this information doesn’t enter all sorts of intelligence databases, even though it shouldn’t.

Seventh, social media providers can and do share your information with law enforcement. Gab handed over data. Parler handed over data. Twitter and Facebook and so on regularly respond to subpoenas. So if you even just reply to someone being investigated, your data is in there.
