When I was studying in Athens, one of my professors told a story about how archaeologists had found a stash of pre-written ballots for an ostracism vote, presumably the ballots that the writer(s) had not successfully distributed to voters.
My grandfather was a potsherder.
This ostracism voting is low key genius. We need a modern form of this.
Not to mention the Jim Crow literacy requirements for voting.
