This reeks of something in late 2018 giving the feds access to the necessary info to ID him and monitor him. My guess is Gab.

The charge they’re hitting him with initially is basically the same thing they hit Jeffrey Clark with. 18 USC 922(g). Possessing a gun while using drugs. This charge is pretty weak overall.

So that tells me they acted hastily. If they had been watching him for 2 years they would have sold him a rocket launcher with the wires crossed or some shit like they always do to take down these folks.

Torba cooperated with the feds after Tree of Life and I can personally attest to knowing that the feds have a massive archive of almost every Gab post up to that point.
