Yes, and we need to be less surprised by this and figure out better counter-strategies, because the old ones aren’t working and treating the Proud Boys like we treat Patriot Front is ineffective at best and counterproductive at worst.https://twitter.com/Noahpinion/status/1050987197019475968 …

The Proud Boys exist solely to generate a narrative that the left is unstable, violent, and must be cracked down in. The Proud Boys have no real politics and very little ideology. The Nazis hate them. They have few convictions.

The Proud Boys are white supremacist only in the sense that they know white supremacy evokes a response from the left.

They don’t lose when they show up and get their asses kicked. That’s what they show up to do. They fucking loved PVD even though they got bloodied and wrecked.

The most dangerous conclusion is that the Proud Boys are a creation of the GOP to set a narrative against the left. This could also be the most effective angle against them, because using them to expose the GOP would likely mean cutting off their support.

Willingly or not, Tiny is being used. He’s a valuable pawn to Gibson, but he would be thrown under the bus in a moment if it served Gibson’s interests. How could Tiny not realize this?

They never realize it but he won’t be thrown under the bus so long as he’s useful

Nearly everybody on the right seems to have an expiration date when it comes to their supposed comrades standing by them. You can’t sustain loyalty on a foundation of hate.
