Having spent a lot of time over the past several years thinking about and studying ethics in technology, the more I am convinced that the discussions about ethics in technology have a major, irreconcilable blind spot.

Whenever I look at AI, the whole thing feels very male-centric. Tech is slowly changing, but even women in the field were trained almost exclusively by men. I feel like women know something unique about this whole "creating life" thing.

Regardless of whether or not we can physically have kids. Making AI still feels like it's missing half of the important work.
