The arrests came only after dogged work by ProPublica, in conjunction with activists and local news orgs. And even then it took a major PBS documentary. The complaint was filed and sealed three weeks after it aired.

Nevertheless, I know with certainty that these investigations were going long before the documentary aired. So maybe it was timing? Either way, I wouldn't be surprised to see more arrests, particularly given the comments by the USAO yesterday.

That said, the RAM folks arrested were on video participating in numerous fights in numerous cities and doing real damage to people. They had a LOT.

I don't think the feds are going to come in against everyone that had thrown a waterbottle or gotten in a shoving match. I could be wrong, but the pattern here is that these are people who went out of their way to screw themselves over.
