I frequently feel pushed to defend the police when they are misrepresented or accused of something unreasonably, etc. But I'm sincerely troubled by police conduct in general, and sickened by this egregious example.

The issue is that the bad are represented more than the good. Less people want the thankless job of being a cop because of how they're portrayed. So the ones who do join are less likely to do so for good reasons. Corruption, like a cancer, grows

I genuinely think the amount as extremity of the bad cops has become terrifying and unacceptable, all over the country try. Even if I view it, and the stats, as fairly as possible.

If you normalize something... I work with a kid who wants to join the cops because he thinks it would be "easy enough to steal shit from people legally," with shit being drugs. He genuinely believes it will be almost effortless.
