In all seriousness, the author seems to neither understand capitalism nor Agile. Rules like limiting work in progress come from the observable and measurable phenomenon that net throughput isn’t achieved by more tasking. The “common good” is working software.
The example he uses is an instance of him merely having to wait for others’ needs to be fulfilled. In a sense, he’s precisely arguing for a capitalistic mindset but not in the way he thinks.
A lot of people get Agile wrong. But his premise that Agile treats workers like children is 100% backwards.
