I'd kinda like to see federal agents kick in somebody's door. throw in some flashbangs and scream "FBI you're under arrest for perjury!!!"

What I'm curious about is the impeachment process if he's actually ever benched?
-
Same as any other Federal official (except the president; the chief justice presides for the president, but for everyone else it's the VP as usual). Of course, getting two-thirds to convict from the Senate would be impossible.
-
is there any possibility for prosecution without impeachment? It's my understanding that it is only not possible with the office of President, but it certainly seems conceivable the highest court would have special exemptions as well.
-
I...don't know if anyone's tested that. I know that other Federal judges can be prosecuted and end up in prison, and Congress only bothers to impeach them after the fact, because doing so is necessary to make them stop collecting salaries.
-
But, other Federal judges are in districts or circuits with many judges, and mechanisms for deciding who hears cases.
-
Whereas, with the Supreme Court, they always sit en banc (all justices vote on all cases), so it's less clear that a prosecution would prevent a justice from having a vote.

Is there not contempt in the senate?
