As the President tweets literal Nazi propaganda about white farmers in South Africa, please please please start listening to the antifascists and leftist journalists who have been tracking this for years. You may not like us but we’re not wrong.

My point is that there is proper coverage across the spectrum in the South African media & that our Amero/Eurocentrism is preventing us from looking at those sources. We need to learn to trust non-extreme sources in the actual countries where X is taking place, be it
etc. -
South African here. White genocide is bullshit

Could you post some articles? I'd like to compare and contrast with Zimbabwe. Thanks!
-
They gave you names to look for in trending news and gave you the info. Do some of the work yourself
-
So of those names none have published any articles, I found one from O'brien back in 2010 and that's it. I'll see if I can find some objective commentary elsewhere though.

In those papers websites are you searching for the terms "land reform" "reappropriation" etc. or are you accidentally using the Alt-right terms? Because if you use the later then you won't find anything but if you use the former several hit on SABC, Sowetan, City Press etc.

Considering the amendment was proposed earlier this month coverage on it is pretty sparse from reputable sources. Here's a good FT article.https://www.ft.com/content/c81543d8-a61b-11e8-926a-7342fe5e173f …

The main point I was making is that plenty of reputable sources are making articles/commentary - it's that those sources are
therefore our Amero/Eurocentrism is preventing us from knowing who they are regardless of where on political spectrum - which is sad & kinda elitist. -
Good point, there's no shortage of local resources. I think for me it's a familiarity factor, more likely to read a FT, BBC, Politico, WaPo, NYT, just because I know what to expect from their content and they generally do a good job.

As someone with a journalism background + 97% of an anthropology degree + family in those countries (
+
in particular) I often find that even those relatively good sources you quoted often get simple stuff wrong which bugs the ever living crap out of me #ItsAllPerspective - 2 more replies

The farmers reached out to him for help. Something is going on and we are not getting real info about this. Trump is merely looking into it but of course liberals call him a racist for it. Sock people!

So because he might have become aware of a factual problem from a source you don't support, he's a nazi? Facts are fascism now, huh.
