This is the current status quo. Printing your own polymer lower changes nothing. It's not even illegal right now. No laws are changing. This is literally an energy sink.

It’s also not as though these parts aren’t already 3D printable. What will change is that it will become legal to distribute the files necessary for anyone to print them. It’s delusional to think that people aren’t already accessing those plans at all.

Of course you can say the same thing about selling drugs, personal info, etc; the fact that it's out there doesn't mean we shouldn't police it. Personally I think if you're worried about unregistered firearms, you've really got to address how unregulated ammunition sales are.
