A lot of the tech activists I talk to are leaving algorithmic public-facing social media in favor of experimenting with inward-facing models that facilitate community cultivation. What are some of the more interesting experiments you’ve have been seeing?

There's a small but influential group of tech activists who have as an informal but not quite spontaneous model of social networking a habit of using multiple international events to grow solidarity, do meaningful work, and hold space. And a significant % consider migrating.

Last year, while in Berlin for a couple of events, I talked to at least 15 people actively considering moving or who had a close friend/coworker considering. At least 4, including me, already have done so.
