The "Unmasking Antifa Act" is very concerning and reflects a willful misunderstanding of what "Antifa" is, but I have also been saying that the risks of fascism are not just in the streets.

But also I think that resistance to fascism looks like generating self-sustaining communities. Or at least moving towards that. One way that fascism operates is through dependencies on the state.

I don't do street activism, and don't feel it's in my lane to criticize those who do, but the Nazis obsess about optics for a reason. And they have mainstreamish news outlets who will treat Rufio whatshisname as a hero. Very easy for normies to "both sides."

It’s pretty common for a small group within an otherwise peaceful protest to turn the protest into something more violent for its own sake. Critics of the purpose of the peaceful protest then use the violence as justification of their criticism. This seems to be akin to that.
