France's disposition to rioting is somewhat of a running joke at this point though.

At least we know how to gather up together and make ourselves heard loud and clear about "just how much NO it is" ... "just how big that no is you ask ? how about torching down every damn public building in the city levels of nope ?" Strangely the day after negotiations opens up.

Hey, if it works, it works. But I actually do wish Germans took a lesson from the French when it comes to protesting. I remember German students during the university tuition protests being hesitant about walking on the road. Even our striking feels bureaucratic.
-
Sometimes the politians are stubborn as all fuck... Like what's happening with the privatisation of the railways in France right now ... But they keep going and just like in 1995 at some point the rest of the population will bully the politians back at the negotiation table
-
Privatising the railway? Gee, how did that work out in Britain again? /s But srsly that's even seen as a net neutral move (at best) here in Germany and we at least had the sense not to assume the market would magically solve everything.
-
Yeah that's why we're not letting go of anything because the railways in great britain are a perfect illustration and demonstration that it just doesn't work.

Destruction and anarchy does not bring freedom. It brings fascism.

Or, in case of the French revolution, Democracy.
