Public outrage and a trust in a sense of decency was really our only check and balance mechanism. That's gone now. Fuck it! Government official? Tweet Nazi shit! Who cares? Who's gonna stop you?

I think that is what has been a shock to the system of many Americans who are paying attention. We will never right the ship in my lifetime. But I will dedicate that time to doing my best to find a better way forward.

It’s not just government. Societies are held together by a veneer of convention too. How bizarre that you can drop something expensive in a tin box by the road one day, and it‘s across the country the next. If many ppl stop following rules, there’s no recourse. Pruitt knows this.
