Small, incredibly loving attention to detail in #TheExpanse (not a spoiler): Melba’s tears skew to her right in the Coriolis. Easier to see in motion—it’s brief, but their paths curve slightly. No mention of this is made on screen. This is the reward of hard sci-fi.pic.twitter.com/V8sOMriIDV

It’s only there on the screen for seconds, and nobody ever mentions the effect, shows it in action, or anything of the sort. It’s just a bonus.

In S1 they really overdid a liquid pour not going as expected to catch your eye, and then toned it down now that we're conditioned to look. Ugh the attention to the art is wild I love it

The point of that little part, I think, was to show that certain parts of Ceres were slums subject to extreme Coriolis forces because they were near the core. There, gravity was extremely weak, and people would grow up undeveloped and sick.

Yeah. That and the hummingbird out in the more expensive equatorial neighborhood were such good cues

There were many such textural cues of class and worldbuilding in the first season, and I enjoyed them so much.
