I honestly think one of the most useful things you can do as an individual right now is to start becoming bilingual. Look at your local community demographics and start learning that language. Spanish in the US, sure. But maybe also Vietnamese or Arabic or Turkish or whatever.

Take first aid certifications. Learn firearm safety. Take healthcare navigation classes (seriously, as someone who has had to support a community affected by terror this is huge).
