Microsoft has long made a fortune off of being directly involved in weapons development. They're not just selling software to engineers. They are designing and supporting systems that are literally in weapons platforms.

When the Google stuff happened, I cautioned against considering it too big a win. Google was never a serious player in this space. Companies you've never heard of are dragging in 8 and 9 figure hauls. But so too is MS.pic.twitter.com/F2a565r1G4
