"I'll sell you this car for $10,000." "No, how about $5000." "Ok $15000" "You drive a hard bargain, $12000. But I'm getting a great deal."

Okay, Emily. Let's just keep ripping families apart. Happy now?
-
OR OPTION C STOP THROWING THEM IN FUCKING CAGES HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THAT OPTION
-
Calm down. Breathe. Yes, I would like to see families not locked up at all. This, however, requires massive changes to current immigration law--not likely to happen under trump. In the meantime, while we're working on changing the law, how about we stop separating families?
-
It actually fucking doesn't
-
It's legal under current immigration law for refugees - families or otherwise - to present themselves at the border and petition for asylum. It is a misdemeanor - like speeding or littering - to illegally be in the United States. Immigration law does not demand imprisonment
-
and splitting up families for coming to the border and asking for asylum. Why are people so profoundly ignorant of immigration law constantly holding forth on how it requires inhumane treatment?

Republicans: "Kids should be in kids jail, and parents in parents jail." Democrats, super progressive: "Let's put entire families in jail, together!" Libertarians, and everyone outside the weirdly tiny Overton Window of USA mainstream politics: "Can we not lock up families?"
-
Yeah, no. Every progressive I know (and that's hundreds) do not want immigrants locked up AT ALL. Not sure where you're getting your information? I'm guessing either from Emily or from your ass.
-
You, right here, are literally advocating for locking up families:https://twitter.com/baddgrl_/status/1008802407244095489 …
-
Don't be ridiculous. I didn't say anything remotely like that. Now you're really beginning to sound unhinged. But by all means, keep quote-tweeting me to get more traction, you fucking loon.
-
You said that in response to
@EmilyGorcenski talking about liberals celebrating over families being imprisoned together. Her interpretation is reasonable.

Is there literally anything that we can do that wouldn't still be a downgrade from two years ago?

Not to even mention the fact it has been revealed/admitted that ZERO effort was spent on any sort of infrastructure to enable later reunion.
