So long as we elevate gladiator games over community building, and the fighter over the caregiver, and the rockstar over the facilitator, anarchist spaces will fail at everything except reinforcing patriarchy.

There was a piece a little while back that was super victim-oppressive and survivor-unsupportive about the MeToo movement wherein lots of typical rhetoric was roundly heaped upon sexual assault victims.

ACAB, but guess what. You know who knows BETTER THAN ANYONE how useless cops are? Sexual assault survivors. You know who needs to be told LESS THAN ANYONE about police attacking victims? Sexual assault survivors.

The last thing a survivor needs is a fucking leftist lecture on the cops. Meanwhile, anarchist abuses easily migrate from one space to another with few repercussions when they are chased out. Kicking the can isn't actually restorative justice.
