When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

Your logic is backwards
@TeamYouTube . If I purchase something and my email is put on a distribution list I can go in and unsubscribe to any emails I get. It's the company/creator's priority to notify as much as possible, and the consumer then regulates getting notifications...1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Replying to @EmilyG77 @TeamYouTube and
But the company themselves doesn't turn off their notification system in a sense, and then ask the consumer to subscribe for more notifications. That's like Business 101 from someone who didn't take business. We all know what you're actually doing. Your PR team sucks.

... Your job is to allow the pumping out of notifications, and we as consumers can go in AFTER the fact to make our own changes. Your duty is to promote the very people who give your site life. You're essentially worthless to Google if your creators just... leave.
