Will it also address the difference between the deeper meanings of empathy & how one can have compassionate empathy (caring for others) & not affective empathy (being able to understand what others are going through) Also, how caring for others doesn't mean we know *how* to care

I’ve not come across Alexi=lack of empathy either, the few I’ve spoke to and myself tend to find we are better ID emotions in others than we are ourselves, or that if not we still experience it.

My empathy used to be quite low in some regards. Not in the sense of psychopathic callousness, but in the sense of depressive numbness and apathy, which drove me to study ideas rather than interact with people.
